Welsh is a character in Season Two of the Showtime series DEXTER.
He is the owner of a comic book store where a murder took place.
Summary[]
Denny Foster, a night worker at a comic book store, is found with his head bashed in from a snow globe. Dexter, along with LaGuerta, Doakes, and Lee investigate the scene. The motive appears to be personal.
Dexter is drawn to a poster of a superhero. He approaches the store owner as he’s telling Doakes that Denny was a loner.
Dexter: [to Welsh] “Who's that?”
Welsh: “The Dark Defender. Denny had this great idea to put a spin on that vigilante serial killer we got running around.”
Dexter: “Definitely has a nicer ring to it than the Bay Harbor Butcher.”
Doakes: [to Dexter} “I'm conducting an interview here, Morgan.”
Welsh: “Denny was trying to set up The Dark Defender as a graphic novel, ‘Stalker of the Night, his Blade of Vengeance turns Wrong into Right.’”
Welsh pauses, says, “I need some air,” and leaves the store. “Thanks a lot,” Doakes tells Dexter.
Dexter looks again at The Dark Defender and decides that Miami's too hot for all that leather.
