University of Miami is a Florida college used fictionally in the Dexter Novels.
It is also mentioned in Season Four of the Showtime series DEXTER.

Dexter, a forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department, investigates a double homicide at the University of Miami campus. Two female students are found burned and beheaded. Their heads are replaced by the ceramic heads of bulls.

Jesse Brightman tells Astor Bennett that he was set to go to this University the following year until his father got laid off from his job.
