Summary[]
Against the wishes of Captain Maria LaGuerta, Debra continues to look into the death of Jessica Morris, a call girl. As Deb is walking through the homicide department, she's approached by a female officer carrying a file box. LaGuerta, standing nearby, notices their interaction.
Uni: “Lieutenant? I have the personal effects of Jessica Morris. You asked for them.”
Debra: “Oh, right, fuck. The dead call girl. Um... Just put 'em in my office. I'll look at it later.”
Uni: “Okay.”
LaGuerta: (to Debra) “Still looking into that case.”
Debra: “We've been through this. I'm just doing my job.”
LaGuerta: “You're not. That's the problem.”
Debra learns that Thomas Matthews was with Jessica when she overdosed.
