Summary

"Beauty and The Beast"

While Dexter Morgan is holding an unknown woman captive, he discovers her identity - Lumen Pierce. He then learns that she had been staying at the Towne House Motel. Taking Harrison with him, Dexter goes to the motel and pretends to be Lumen’s husband. In return for the possessions she left behind, Dexter pays Lumen’s overdue bill with cash. Outside, he looks through a bag and finds a letter from her family, begging her to come home.

"First Blood"

Lumen has been released by Dexter but she won't leave Miami. He breaks into her motel (room 110), and sees a wall covered with rape articles, news clippings, police case numbers, and a large map. Also, there is the letter that Robert Brunner had written to Boyd Fowler. Dexter notices that Lumen has been sleeping in the closet. He's concerned that her behavior is going to endanger both of them.

At another time, Dexter goes to the motel looking for Lumen. The Hotel Clerk, who still thinks that Lumen is Dexter’s wife, remarks that Lumen had inquired about Tuttle Bridge, and he immediately rushes off to find her.

"Everything is Illumenated"

To disguise herself before she tries to hunt her rapists, Lumen stands in front of a mirror in her hotel room while putting on eyelashes, lipstick, and a black wig.
