Pawnbroker is a character in the Showtime series Dexter: Original Sin.
He buys Debra Morgan's necklace which belonged to her deceased mother.

While rooting around in Dexter’s room, Debra ends up finding a pair of earrings inside a VHS box. She shows up at the pawn shop and learns that they’re fake. Instead, she sells her pearl necklace, which happens to be something she received from her mother.
The earrings were a trophy taken by Dexter when he killed Nurse Mary.
