Paul (Ethan's dad) is a character in the Showtime special event series Dexter: New Blood.
He is the father of Ethan Williams, a student who is blamed for stabbing Harrison and planning a school shooting.
Summary[]
After the incident a school, Harrison goes to Memorial Hospital to see how Ethan is doing, but he's sedated. His parents come out into the corridor to tell Harrison that Ethan lost so much blood he could have died if paramedics hadn't got there so quickly. Harrison stammers, "I'm sorry. I... I - I didn't mean to, um... E-Ethan's, like, my only friend here." Ethan’s father replies that Ethan liked him, too, then asks how he's doing. Harrison says he’s okay and mentions seeing Ethan when he goes home. Ethan’s mother angrily asks, "What do you think is going on here? Iron Lake isn't our home anymore. We've been getting death threats. No one's ever gonna buy anything from my store again. We have to sell our house and leave. And Ethan's probably going to juvie. Why didn't you come to us?... I could have helped." She storms back into Ethan's room. Ethan’s father thanks Harrison for what he did, but tells him that they never want to see him again. Ethan's parents return to their son's bedside as Harrison's expression turns dark and he stares at them.
