From a ladder, Pastor Brian is hanging up Christmas decorations on a storefront. He spots Jim Lindsay (Dexter) and greets him. "Hey, Jimmy, morning. You coming line dancing tonight?" Dexter replies that he wouldn’t miss it, adding, "Hey, I'm sorry about those pies." Surprised, Pastor Brian asks, "Now how could you possibly know about that already?" Dexter says, "Uh... small town,” and Brian remarks, “Thank the Good Lord."
Dexter arrives at work with a box of pastries and his boss, Fred Jr., requests a strawberry cream cheese sweet roll. He informs Jim that it will be a "stress-y kind of week" because he and Brian are adopting a dog, and it’s a lot of pressure. Brian wants to call him Garfield, but he doesn’t want to name a dog after a cat? He pulls out a photo of the pup and asks Jim if he looks more like a Gromit. Dexter says, "On this one, I think I'm basically Switzerland." Fred Jr. chuckles and says that he’s a smart man. The dog ends up being named Garfield.
Later, Dexter sees Fred Jr. and Pastor Brian dancing together at the Iron Lake Tavern.
While looking around Dexter's Cabin, Harrison examines a framed photograph on the bureau. The photograph is of Rolling Thunder, a bowling team with Pastor Brian as well as Fred Jr., Gig and Dexter. Dexter remarks the team won the second place at last year's HarvestFest tournament.
