Officer Rubio is a character in Season Seven of the Showtime series DEXTER.
He and Officer Allens follow Dexter Morgan to a shipping yard, after which they notify Captain Maria LaGuerta.
Summary[]
Dexter meets with Estrada under the pretext of arranging a drug deal. He takes Estrada to a shipping container where a brief struggle ensues and Estrada fires a wild shot. Dexter knocks him out with a chokehold and lays him on his kill table. Once he’s conscious, Dexter confronts Estrada about his mother’s murder and picks up a chainsaw. However, before he can start dismembering Estrada, he is accused of being in cahoots with the female cop who put a rush order on his release.
Estrada: “Ha. You're working with her, aren't you?”
Dexter: “What?”
Estrada: “That fucking cop bitch, the one who got me out. Oh, yeah, they said that there was a big push for my release from the Captain of Miami Metro.”
Dexter: “LaGuerta?”
Estrada: “She fucking set me up.”
Dexter: “You're not the one who was set up.” He quickly releases Estrada and forces him to flee with him.
LaGuerta arrives at the shipping yard and greets Officer Rubio.
Rubio: “We followed him to here, but we lost him. Until we heard the gunshot. That's when we called you.”
LaGuerta: “All right. Anything else since?”
Rubio: “No, ma'am.”
LaGuerta: “Show me where.”
As LaGuerta, Officer Rubio, and Officer Allens walk toward the shipping container, they hear the humming of a motor. Officer Allens opens the door to the container, but they only find plastic wrapped walls and a chainsaw, still running.
Rubio: “What the fuck is going on in this place?”
LaGuerta: “Keep looking for Estrada and anyone else with him. Estrada's not alone.”
The cops hurry off while LaGuerta stands gazing at the kill room. Meanwhile, Estrada escapes from Dexter by jumping off the dock into the water.
