Mrs. Owens is a character in Season Three of Showtime’s series DEXTER.

She is the mother of Wendell Owens, a victim of The Skinner.

Summary

Mrs. Owens is first mentioned in when Wendell Owens is brought in to learn the whereabouts of Freebo. Since Wendell is a minor, Debra must obtain parental permission to question him. When Mrs. Owens realizes that Wendell is with the police, she immediately goes to pick him up to stop him from giving any information to protect him.

Debra Morgan and Joey Quinn arrive at Mrs. Owens’ house after they receive a call that she had new information about her son’s murder. She comes outside and angrily throws Debra's business card at them. She says that she found it in the shorts Wendell was wearing the day he died. She blames Debra for going to their house to question him against her wishes, which drew The Skinner to him. Distraught, Mrs. Owens shoves Debra and Quinn has to restrain her from further attacking Debra. Mrs. Owens begins to cry, saying that Wendell was her only child and now he is gone.
