Mosquito is an insect character that appears in title sequence on Showtime's series Dexter: Original Sin.
Summary[]
- "Original Sin"
In 1991 at the day of Dexter Morgan's graduation he is woken up by a mosquito, attempting to suck his blood. Dexter retaliates by attempting to kill mosquito with a palm of his hand, but fails.
Trivia[]
- Since on average mosquitoes live up to seven days, there is no chance that this is directly the same mosquito kills in the opening sequence of the original series starting with "Crocodile".
- Also, mosquito in Dexter: Original Sin seems to be of different species.
- Although most of Dexter's victims are male, quite a few of his prominent and personal kills were female. Mosquito is a female, too, since male of this species can't suck blood.
- More deaths are associated with mosquitoes than any other animal on the planet. Mosquitoes may carry any number of deadly diseases, including malaria, dengue fever, yellow fever, Zika, West Nile disease, and encephalitis. Mosquitoes also carry heartworm, which can be lethal to a dog. (Mosquitoes are responsible for around 725,000 deaths per year. Approximately 475,000 people die every year at the hand of fellow man.)
