Matthew Willig

Matthew Joseph Willig (born 21 January 1969) is an American actor and former American football offensive tackle.

He played Little Chino, a gang's enforcer, on Showtime's DEXTER.

Professional Football

Willig played fourteen years for the Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. He was on the winning St. Louis Rams team in Super Bowl XXXIV, and on the losing Carolina Panthers' team in Super Bowl XXXVIII.


Willig's television credits include roles on NCIS,, Chuck, Malcolm In the Middle, iCarly, The Young and the Restless, We're The Millers, Grimm, The Suite Life on Deck, On Sonny with a Chance, Pair of Kings, Terriers, Brooklyn Nine-nine, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

His film credits include roles in Full Contact, Year One, The Employer, A Resurrection, and as former NFL player Justin Strzelczyk in the film Concussion.

Willig has also acted in national commercial campaigns, including Capital One, Bud Light, and Halls.

Personal Life

He was born in La Mirada, California. He played football and basketball at St. Paul High School (Santa Fe Springs, California). He played college football at the University of Southern California as a member of the 1989 Rose Bowl winning team. He was a public administration major.
