Lily Kosnicki is a character in the Showtime special event series Dexter: New Blood.

She is a young woman passing through Iron Lake who stops for a meal at the local tavern and ends up murdered.

Summary[]

“Cold Snap”

A group of Iron Lake locals have gathered at the tavern for line-dancing.

While Angela is at the bar, she overhears an unknown young woman ask Tess, the bartender, "How much is a plain burger, without cheese or anything? What if I don't get fries?"

Realizing that the girl [Lily] has little money, Angela tells Tess to put the burger and fries on her tab. This surprises the girl and she thanks Angela. Lily confirms that she’s not from Iron Lake and says she’s taking the first bus out the next day, thus needing to make sure she has the fare. Concerned about the area’s missing girls, Angela gives Lily some money and tells her about the shelter down the road, which is run by Desiree.

When Angela returns to her table, Dexter (as Jim) asks about the girl she was talking to. Angela says, "Lost kid. My brand of community outreach. Besides, who checks my petty cash vouchers? Mm, that'd be me." Dexter says, "That was kind of you."

“Storm of Fuck"

Lily wipes the steam off a mirror and opens the bathroom door. She’s surprised to find a bottle of champagne and bowl of strawberries left in what appears to be a motel room. She looks around before popping the cork and drinking the champagne directly from the bottle. She's unaware that someone is watching her from a hidden video camera.

She ends up vomiting in the bathroom and crying, blaming the champagne. She crawls into bed and falls asleep, while the person on the video camera continues to watch her.

When Lily wakes up, she can't find her phone, and realizes the room door is missing a handle. She bangs against the door and screams for help. Then she notices the video camera hidden in the light bulb and underneath it the words "You’re already dead." She panics.

"Smoke Signals"

Lily sits huddled in a corner of the room, still being watched on the camera.

An unknown man plays the song “Runaway” while he pulls on winter gloves, a full face ski mask, and a camouflage coat. He presses a button on his laptop keyboard and Lily hears the door unbolt. Her eyes open wide and she puts on her coat. Warily, she opens the door to face a tunnel-like hallway. She runs down it, climbs steps, and opens the cellar-type doors.

Nearby, the man watches Lily race away across a field and points his rifle at her. She looks back, sees a red laser light, and is shot dead. Dexter, who is out in the woods, hears the gunshot but thinks it’s an early hunter.

Later, an unknown person washes a body (presumably Lily's), drains her blood and embalms her.
