Lauren Mills is a character in Season Three of the Showtime series DEXTER.
She is the manager of Z Hotel and Rita Bennett's boss.
Summary[]
Rita is in the ladies’ room of Z Hotel, talking to Astor over the phone about their mother-daughter relationship and her upcoming marriage to Dexter. She is pregnant and not feeling well. Meanwhile, the hotel manager keeps knocking on the door, telling Rita that she’s needed back at work.
When Rita returns to the front desk, she ends up lashing out at the obnoxious wife of a newlywed couple staying at the hotel. The manager overhears and takes Rita aside.
Manager: “We can't have this conversation again.”
Rita: (contritely) “I know. I'm sorry.”
Manager: “This is the second time this week. Plus, you're always on a break or calling in sick. I don't know what's going on but, honestly, it's always something. And now I have to comp the honeymoon suite. I'm really sorry, but I just can't afford to employ you anymore.”
Later, Rita is employed as Sylvia Prado's assistant.
