Lance Robinson is character on Showtime's series DEXTER.

He is a serial killer of homosexual men. Lance was targeted by Dexter for a ritual kill in an attempt to "get back on track." However, Lance's death was used as a way to prevent Dexter from being caught after he killed Dan Mendell.

Description

Lance is a fairly muscular man with mid-length blonde hair that's fashioned to partially stick up. He wears a yellow T-shirt with an anchor on it.

Personality

His personality goes relatively unseen but, apparently, he is a homosexual man who murders his erotic playmates using their own fantasies against them. Lance places ads inviting men to participate in sexual activities, but his actual intent is to kill them. When Lance introduces himself to a target, he initially acts friendly and flirtatious.

Crime

Lance is responsible for killing at least four men who had met with him for casual sexual encounters.

Summary

Dexter contacts Lance via an ad for some sort of sexual fantasy and they arrange to meet. Lance walks up to Dexter, thinking they're about to hook up, only for Dexter to inject him with M99. Dexter quickly takes the unconscious Lance inside a nearby RV and proceeds to wrap him in plastic.

As Dexter is about to start his kill ritual, Lumen Pierce interrupts him with a phone call. She frantically asks for his help, saying that she shot one of her rapists and doesn't know what to do next. Having to deal with this new situation, Dexter hides a still unconscious Lance in the trunk of his car. Irritated at Lumen, Dexter rushes to her location -- Baywater Marina warehouse -- while hoping the M99 doesn't wear off on Lance.

Inside the warehouse, Dexter finds bullet holes, a missing body, a blood trail, and a distraught Lumen. Dexter follows the blood and tracks down Dan Mendell, the man that Lumen had shot. After confirming that Dan is one of Lumen's rapists, Dexter snaps his neck.

Meanwhile, Lance awakes, escapes Dexter's car, and makes a run for it. Dexter hears him and immediately gives chase. During this, Debra Morgan, Vince Masuka, and two Paramedics are nearing the area where Dexter is pursuing Lance. Just before Lance makes it into the group's flashlight beams, Dexter grabs him, strangles him with plastic wrap, and drags him back to the warehouse.

Dexter quickly formulates a plan, and sends Lumen away. Unable to dispose of Lance in the normal fashion, Dexter leaves his body next to Dan's and sets up the scene to appear as though they had killed each another during a sexual encounter.

During the crime scene investigation, Vince Masuka's wild imagination creates a bizarre scenario that bails Dexter out of being caught. Lance and Dan's bodies are brought to the morgue and the case is (temporarily) closed.
