Laline Gomez is a character in Season One of the Showtime series DEXTER.
She works at the Pink Motel (Miami) where Neil Perry is arrested.
Summary[]
Debra Morgan and Angel Batista have (incorrectly) identified The Ice Truck Killer as Neil Perry, a computer expert and taxidermist with a history of mental illness and violence. They track him down to a sleazy motel where a woman is outside watering the shrubbery. Deb and Angel approach her, introduce themselves as Miami P.D., and ask to talk to her for a minute.
Deb presents a photo of Neil Perry to the woman, and asks if the guy looks familiar. She claims she doesn’t know, due to so many men coming and going, joking that they “come.” This annoys Deb. She tells Laline that her feet are aching from pounding the pavement and they need her help. Laline drops the hose and Deb asks her name. Laline puts her hand on her hip and says in a sing-song voice, “Laline Consuelo Garcia Gomez.” Deb looks over at Angel for help. He asks Laline in Spanish if she’s heard of The Ice Truck Killer, and she answers, “Si.” Angel continues, “Lets try this again. Have you seen this man?”
Laline finally reveals that Perry is a regular and he rents a room by the month with cash. Deb asks when he was last there. Laline says he is there now, having brought a girl to his room that morning. Deb inquires if she is a hooker. Before Laline can answer, Angel angrily demands the room number. She quickly replies that it's Room 20 and hands him the master key. Angel orders Deb to call for backup, and says he hopes this girl is still alive. Debra asks if they should wait for “tactical” but Angel says they can’t because there is a possible victim.
With guns drawn, Angel and Deb enter the motel room, where they find a hooker gagged and tied to the bed. Torture instruments are situated nearby. It’s not long before Neil returns and they arrest him as he sings a song.
