Juan is a character in Showtime's series Dexter: Original Sin.
He is a member of the Los Tigres Cartel, which has set out to make a name for themselves within Miami. Juan and four Cartel members are caught up in a raid by SWAT on the suspicion that they had Nicky Spencer captive. This information came from Captain Aaron Spencer who had earlier paid off a man to stash a bag containing Nicky's jersey in the house, with the shirt being tucked under a chair. At the time of the raid Juan can be seen having sex with Lina in a bedroom when SWAT busts in through the door, prompting Lina to put on a shirt and Juan to pull up his pants under the sheets. The cops pull both of them from the bed and put them against the wall briefly, before forcing them out into the living room where Mari and two other men had already been forced to sit down.
Spencer begins questioning the cartel members, demanding where his son was (despite being the kidnapper himself) as he puts on a show for everyone at the raid to see. Detective Bobby Watt notices the shirt under a seat where Juan was sitting, picking it up and handing it to Spencer who verifies that it belongs to Nicky. He again asks where his son was, prompting Lina to curse at him "Fuck you!" which ignites his fury as he yells at both her, then Mari who he pushes down on the couch next to her. He turns around, eyeing Juan who he puts a gun against his forehead. Juan remains defiant, cursing at him without backing down as one of his fellow cartel members pulls a gun - firing close to Spencer. Spencer shoots this man dead then the one who was sitting next to Juan, while Juan ducks behind a fireplace next to Lina (with Mari behind a column) - all now armed themselves.
As the firefight continues Juan fires several shots at Bobby, striking him in the right side of his neck as he falls to the ground. Detective Angel Batista immediately rushes to his side helping stop the bleeding while SWAT continues the firefight. Eventually more bust through the windows and shoot Mari dead, followed by Lina and Juan who collapses forward, dead before he hits the floor. As their bodies lay there following the shootout, Spencer continues his theatrics as he pretends to be a grieving father. He later breaks several objects and a counter in the room in an outburst when Forensics aren't able to find any sign of Nicky in the house. Dexter later remarks that had he followed Spencer he could have prevented all of this - the deaths of each of the Cartel members in this house as well as Bobby's wound.

- It's possible that a photo shown earlier in the episode is of Juan as the men have very similar appearances. This information could have led Spencer to that house, where he arranged for someone to sneak in the bag with Nicky's shirt and later when the raid was called in he could use it as an excuse to escalate a firefight.
- Juan, Mira and Lina are the only ones with credited names in the cast for the five Cartel members - as it's unclear who the other two men are despite their presence (one of which spoke more than Juan did by far).
- Juan Gil portrayed Juan, it's possible that it was coincidental or they just decided to use the actor's name to reference him.
