During their first attempt to contact Allen, Quinn and Batista are given a false address and end up waiting in Batista's newly purchased Firebird Trans Am. Quinn feels that Angel is going through a mid-life crisis. The two men discover a blunt hidden above the visor and decide to get high. They have a comical moment while waiting to receive the call about Jeremiah Allen's location.
When they finally contact Allen, Miami Metro Homicide obtain a new lead in the Doomsday Killer Case in the form of a possible suspect, Professor James Gellar from the University of Tallahassee. Gellar is a Revelation expert with whom Allen is obsessed.
The homicide team learns that three years ago, Gellar went "underground" after he was accused of stealing an Ancient Sword that originally belonged to John the Revelator, the man responsible for writing the Book of Revelation. Debra Morgan suspects that this is the sword used in the DDK murders of Omar Rivera and Nathan Roberts.
