Summary[]
Joey Quinn leaves five phone messages for Nadia, his girlfriend, but she doesn’t return his calls. He goes to The Fox Hole where she works and spots Jenna, another stripper, who is giving a lap dance to a customer.
Quinn: “Jenna.”
Jenna: “Hey, Quinn.”
Quinn: “I'm looking for Nadia. Do you know where she is?”
Strip Club Customer: [to Quinn] “Hey, pal, find your own.”
Quinn: [to customer] “I'm sorry. Does your wife know you're here? No. So shut the fuck up.”
Jenna: “Nadia's in Vegas.”
Quinn: [surprised] “Vegas? What are you talking about?”
Jenna: “She moved there to work. Got a job in one of the casinos.”
Quinn: “When?”
Jenna: “Couple days ago. She left you a note. It's in my locker. I probably shouldn't have read it.”
Quinn: “What did it say?”
Jenna: “That she's sorry but that she needed a new start. Staying here was too hard for her. She was really broken up.”
Quinn: “That all?”
Jenna: “Oh, that you really mean a lot to her and she'll never forget what you did for her. I'll be done in a few minutes, and I can go get it.”
Quinn shakes his head, thanks her, and leaves the club, dejected. Jenna continues with the lap dance.
