Isaak's Granduncle is an unnamed, unseen character in Season Seven of the Showtime series DEXTER.

He is the great uncle of Isaak Sirko and brother to Isaak's Grandfather.

After Isaak was arrested for murder, he told Dexter Morgan the following story to explain why he can wait a long time, if need be, to avenge Viktor Baskov.

History[]

Regarded as a hero who served in the Red Army during World War II, Isaak's Granduncle returned home to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he was praised by the public and beloved by friends and family. A Soviet Party Official became jealous of this and decided to make an example of him, by taking away his home. Isaak's Great-Uncle protested, only to be hung in front of the counsel chambers for his insubordination.

The party official then sent his grandfather to Siberia where he spent years just trying to survive. While there, his grandfather patiently waited for retribution. The time finally came after the fall of the Soviet Union, which allowed him to return to Kyiv to celebrate with everyone. True to his intent, Isaak's grandfather found the official and shoved a six-inch knife into his kidney (thus ending his life)

According to Isaak, this incident taught him the value of patience in vengeance.
