Isaak's Grandfather is an unnamed, unseen character in Season Seven of the Showtime series DEXTER.
He is the grandfather of Isaak Sirko.
After Isaak was arrested for murder, he told Dexter Morgan the following story to explain why he can wait a long time, if need be, to avenge Viktor Baskov.
History[]
Isaak's grandfather had a brother who was a war hero, having served in the Red Army during World War II. While his grandfather was a teenager, his brother returned home to be praised by those in Kiev, Ukraine, until a Soviet Party Official became jealous and took away their home. His brother protested this action and was hung for it, something that affected Isaak's grandfather deeply... the desire for revenge strong in his eyes.
Uncomfortable with Isaak's grandfather, the party official sent him to Siberia where he spent years just trying to survive. While there, he patiently waited for retribution. The time finally came after the fall of the Soviet Union, which allowed him to return to Kiev to celebrate with everyone. True to his intent, Isaak's grandfather found the official and shoved a six-inch knife into his kidney (thus ending his life).
