Iris Broussard is a character in the Showtime special event series Dexter: New Blood.
She was a friend of Angela Bishop who went missing twenty-five years ago when they were teenagers.
Summary
Angela Bishop brainstorms with Sergeant Logan about what could've happened to Matt Caldwell and why Kurt Caldwell was lying. Logan defends Kurt, claiming he's known him his whole life and he's a good person. Angela theorizes that Kurt doesn't want them to find something in the Clarke Caves, where they were going to search the day after he told the police that Matt was alive. Angela calls in Officer Teddy Reed to join her at the caves the next day.
Angela and Teddy search the caves and find a section of rocks that looks manmade. They open it up and Angela crawls into a space that leads into another bigger cave. She finds a foot and screams to Teddy to get in there now. They pull away rocks and Angela finds Iris's body. Angela calls Dexter and tells him that she doesn't need Jim - she needs Dexter Morgan.
Angela brings Dexter to the cave where she found Iris's body and asks him what he sees as a forensics expert. After remarking that the cold kept the body somewhat preserved, Dexter informs Angela that Iris was shot from behind with a rifle from a distance. Angela becomes visibly upset when he says that Iris was still alive when she was buried under the rocks. He finds a bit of human skin on a tooth and collects it for a possible DNA match. Angela reveals to Dexter her suspicions of Kurt Caldwell. Flashbacks show Iris being picked up by a trucker, who is a younger Kurt Caldwell. After he tries to take her home, they struggle, she bites him, and she jumps out of the truck. As Iris is running away down the road, Kurt shoots her in the back. She is still alive when Kurt takes her to Clarke Caves.

- It's implied that Iris was Kurt Caldwell's first victim.
- Iris's surname is partially obscured on her missing person poster but it is notably not "Broussard".
