Ian is a character in the Showtime series Dexter: Original Sin.
He plays a body removal technician. He refuses to touch the dead body of Blake Kersten, believing he might catch AIDS from it.
Summary[]
Dexter Morgan and Officer Clark Sanders are ordered by Captain Aaron Spencer to join Detective Maria Laguerta to investigate a crime scene where Blake Kersten was found murdered.
Dexter examines the body and tells LaGuerta that he was strangled face to face because the killer wanted to see the death and savor it. When LaGuerta asks how he knows that, Dexter says it’s an educated guess. Angrily, she tells him that she doesn’t need guesses, she needs real fucking forensics. Dexter nods, noting to himself that LaGuerta doesn’t yet appreciate his particular set of skills.
After Dexter takes photos of the body and writes a report, Clark Sanders tells Ian that he can take the body. However, Ian doesn’t move, saying, “I’m not touching that thing; I don’t want to get AIDS.” Clark and Dexter then lift Blake’s body up onto the gurney and roll it to the van.
