Gigi Jones is a character in the Showtime series Dexter: Resurrection.
Gigi is a Sophomore with the Collings College of Criminology whom gives tours to new aspiring students, including Harrison Morgan. After she was involved with an accident that injured her right arm, she finds out that she has permanent nerve damage and is unable to pursue her dream of becoming a Detective - however Harrison reassures her that there's plenty of options in Law Enforcement referencing his own father Dexter Morgan whom operated as a Forensic Blood Spatter Analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department.
She is currently Harrison's second love interest in New York City and his Second Girlfriend following Audrey Bishop back in Iron Lake in Dexter: New Blood.
Description[]
Gigi is a young Caucasian woman with platinum blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is often seen wearing darker clothes or those featuring cheetah print, stylized in an alternative/punk fashion with various necklaces and accessories to complete her style. On her right wrist is a black cast she wears over her right hand.
Personality[]
Gigi is an energetic and witty young woman who is unnerved by the grotesque (and fairly morbid) field of Homicide - having made it to her second year at Collings College. She's fairly friendly, offering to give tours to interested applicants at the college and takes an immediate interest in Harrison - approaching him with the same kind of witty small-talk that he's capable of and matches his energy. Unlike Elsa Rivera, whom Harrison had previously attempted to kiss (and possibly misread the signals she was sending), Gigi is open about her attraction to Harrison and "steers the boat" with him - essentially dropping enough hints for him to ask her out that he finally does.
Despite her otherwise playful nature, she is distraught over an accident - which has left her right hand with permanent nerve damage (meaning she will be unable to handle weaponry and other intensive requirements for a police officer). Harrison is able to cheer her up from this fact, while she dreamed of being a detective Harrison informs her that there's plenty she can do to in Law Enforcement including Forensics which reassures her (though she flips him off to lighten the mood all the same). Their attraction to one another eventually leads to them sleeping together in a hotel room and following it, the two still seem to have a whirlwind romance after only two days of knowing each other.
Background[]
Not much is currently known about Gigi's background, at some point she decided to enter the world of Law Enforcement and worked her way up to Sophomore in the Collings College of Criminology. On New Years Eve of 2021 she suffered an accident while on her motorcycle - claiming that a drunk driver rammed her motorcycle which sent her flying and her arm was ripped open - which after three months was revealed to have left permanent nerve damage in her right hand.
Summary[]
Following the Ryan Foster case and reconnecting with his father Dexter Morgan, Harrison Morgan begins thinking about his future - initially wanting to apply at the New York University though the costs of tuition prove too high. Harrison later speaks with Elsa Rivera, who initially can't believe he'd want to go to college for hospitality but later on learns that he wants to pursue something in criminal justice. When she hears about this she recommends him the Collings College of Criminology where her cousin went for cybersecurity but states that they have a bunch of programs.
Resurrection Season One[]
Harrison arrives at the campus, standing off to the side as he waits for his father to show up (not realizing that he's currently busy with Prater's Serial Killers at the Oheka Castle) and looks over a brochure for the campus. Gigi approaches him asking "Hiding from somebody?" and Harrison says he's there alone, which prompts her to say "So you're actually reading that brochure? How is it?". Harrison responds saying that the story's alright but the characters suck, which Gigi says that her orthopedist has amazing brochures - "talk about sexy". Harrison notices her right arm which sits in a black cast and asks about it.
| " "What happened to your arm?" "New Years Eve happened - some drunk idiot rammed into my motorcycle, sent me flying, ripped my arm open. Worse part is, the nerve damage left my hand stuck like this" (she proceeds to flip him off which catches Harrison by surprise) "I'm fucking with you. I was in an accident, though. So, no parents? You an orphan, or what?" "Yeah - uh, my mom was murdered and I killed my dad." (Gigi looks at him in shock for a moment) "I'm fucking with you. My mom is dead, though." (after smiling and offering her left hand) "I'm Gigi" "I'm Harrison" " |
He then tells her that his Dad said he'd come but he doesn't seem him anywhere - Gigi offers to walk around with him and see if they can find him. After that she turns and walks out onto the floor of the lobby calling out all the would-be applicants with an upbeat flare.

Harrison attends the tour until after dark, where they end up outside a classroom and she tells them that this is an opportunity to audit a forensic psychology class. After the group enters the classroom Harrison can be seen texting his father, about to tell him to not worry about it the night's almost over but Gigi walks over to him asking if he's texting his dad. With the look on his face she assures him that she'll be in the lobby and that if she sees anyone "flexing lost dad energy" she'll send him his way - which causes Harrison to smile as he makes his way into the classroom.
Gigi is able to locate Dexter a short time after as Harrison's already taken his seat listening to Detective Claudette Wallace talk about the New York Ripper and leads him to the room, standing off behind Dexter leaning on a column as Claudette recognizes him from her interactions with Captain Angel Batista. After Dexter sits down Gigi watches the presentation - which becomes morbid as she shows off the victims of the Ripper, with all the grotesque crime scene photos causing various people in the room to stand up and leave due to its nature. After the presentation Dexter and Harrison meet with Claudette, with Dexter planting a seed of doubt that Batista "hasn't been the same" since his partner James Doakes was labeled The Bay Harbor Butcher and then leaves with Harrison, praising him for his desire to become a cop - saying that his Aunt Deb and Grandpa Harry would be proud. Harrison tells him that it was Dexter who inspired him and before Dexter can react, Gigi walks up to them with the application forms.

The two chuckle, eyes locked on each other as Dexter notices the chemistry - also realizing that he's kind of a third wheel when his son looks at him and asks to meet him out at the car. Dexter pats him on the shoulder and lets them be saying he'll check out the "gift shop". Harrison then thanks her for flagging him down and she tells him "no worries", then asks what he thinks of the place - "All that serial killer talk didn't scare you off, did it?". Harrison says he thinks he can handle it and that he'll have to "If I wanna be a cop". He asks her if she likes it here and she responds saying that she loves it - that she had to take a few weeks off due to the accident but is finally getting back into the swing of things. She then flirts with him saying that she "didn't realize how much I do with my right hand. I've had to get creative with grooming and...self-care...". Harrison looks at her for a moment and she switches up saying...

They later continue talking outside the campus before Harrison makes his way into the car with his father, with Dexter saying "She seems nice" with Harrison awkwardly responding "Uh, yeah Dad...we're not gonna talk about that" and Dexter acknowledges saying "No, Siree".
Harrison and Gigi Hook Up[]
On the week of the 10th Annual Gala Gigi is giving a tour, leading the group to the Admissions Office of the college when she notices Harrison standing outside of it with a smile. Gigi smiles back and wraps up the tour, before walking up to him saying "look who comes crawling back". He tells her that he just got done at the financial Aid Office and he's officially applying, which causes her to chuckle with excitement. She then teases him again - asking if he told them that she gave him the tour (claiming she earns a commission when he applies) and Harrison feels like he screwed up only for her to tell him that she's fucking with him again.

Later that night the two attend a party on the roof of the Empire Hotel, where the two dance together in the crowd. As the scenes cut to and from the dance to the two talking on a sofa, Gigi finally starts to let her guard down - her otherwise upbeat demeanor shifting as she takes a sip from her drink and nervously chuckles. Harrison asks...
| " "You all right?" "Yeah." "What is it?" "My dream of becoming a detective is...not happening. The nerve damage, it's...it's permanent. So I would never make it through the academy" "I'm really sorry" "I don't want to give up on everything, you know?" "You don't have to! My Dad was a Forensic Blood Spatter Analyst in Miami. He put away a ton of criminals without ever wearing a police uniform. Even if you don't end up being a detective, there's still options in law enforcement". "Thanks. I appreciate that" (she wipes a tear from her eye) "It's true" "You know, with this nerve damage, my fingers keep locking up. It's weird because I only injured the one arm, but it's happening on both hands now" (she proceeds to flip him off with both hands as the two smile and chuckle at each other) " |
Following the party they end up back in Harrison's room for the night and she pushes him against the wall kissing him. As their passion takes over and their clothes start coming off, it's moved towards the bed where he throws her to the bed and they continue to make out only for him to stop as she takes a moment to catch her breath looking up at him with a smile. Harrison asks "You good?" while she tells him to "Shut...up" moving in to kiss him and he moves down her body...starting to use his tongue which causes her to lean her head back gasping with pleasure.
The next day Harrison's alarms go off and he opens the blinds, staring out at the city before looking back to Gigi who's sleeping on his bed after they slept together. He gives a warm smile and after she wakes, the two of them take the service elevator down - with Gigi smiling to herself as she stands next to him. She looks at him and Harrison catches the look, asking about it..

After they chuckle she gets close to him and kisses him again, before the two get lost in the kiss as it starts getting intense again - at least until the elevator arrives at the lobby and they pull away real quick, still smiling to themselves and they head into the lobby.

- Gigi's technically Harrison's third love interest in the franchise, with his first being Audrey Bishop (Angela's daughter) in Iron Lake and the second being Elsa Rivera - however when Elsa doesn't return his feelings he pulls back and starts to fall for Gigi.
- Gigi is Harrison's second woman he's slept with, Audrey being the first.
- Her sudden appearance this late in the season suggests that she may be tied to a central narrative and possibly other major characters, though her meeting Harrison was entirely by chance when Elsa told him about Collings College.
- Her platinum blonde hair and alternative way she dresses resembles Ryan Chambers - a forensic intern that worked with Vince Masuka until she was fired for stealing evidence (the Ice Truck Killer's mannequin hand) which ended up being sold to Louis Greene.
- Gigi's flirtatious nature and direct approach has some similarity to Lila West, Dexter's third known love interest within the franchise after Sofia Rivera and Rita Bennett.
- Given Dexter's connection with Rita and her kids when he met Lila, this runs parallel with Harrison's connection to Elsa Rivera and her son. However unlike Rita, Harrison has not actually developed a romantic relationship with Elsa at the time he met Gigi and is free to pursue the relationship (though Elsa is currently unaware of this development).
- Harrison throws Gigi to the bed and moves ontop of her in a similar manner that Dexter did with Lila when they finally slept together. Unlike his father who was channeling his mixed emotions (surrounding one of his mother's killers) and anger when he slept with Lila, Harrison does so out of a genuine connection to Gigi.
