Gig's Market
Gig’s Butcher Shop & Market is a location in the Showtime series Dexter: New Blood.
As Dexter is walking down Main Street, greeting townspeople, he is greeted by Ramon, who comes out of the market carrying a small sack. He asks how Jim and Angela are doing, and then spots Edward Olsen's helicopter flying overhead and remarks that "Rich asshole season has begun." t Walking past the market, Dexter then turns right and walks past the left side of the market, and then goes back behind the market where he talks to Gig, the butcher, who is busy chopping bloody meat with a dull cleaver. Dexter gives him the cleaver he has sharpened for him. Finally, Dexter emerges from the front door of the market, carrying a pink box of pastries, which he takes to his job. (The writing on that pink donut box reads "Sweetie's baked goods", so apparently there is also a bakery department inside the market.)
Audrey Bishop and Harrison go there to buy some sausage from Gig. Audrey Is outraged when she learns that the carcass of the white deer is in Gig's cooler, and is to be casually thrown away.
