Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is an organization in real life and in the Showtime series DEXTER.
The FBI operates under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Justice, and is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States. It is the principal federal law enforcement agency.
FBI Agents appear in the series for major cases. They are often not welcomed as they are viewed as rivals by the local Miami Metro Police Department. A successful outcome is usually credited to the FBI, despite the groundwork laid out by the Miami police. In addition to the FBI, Homeland Security and a U.S. Marshall appear in the series.
Dexter: "Looks like they want to take over the case."
Debra: "It wouldn't fucking surprise me, it's what the feds do best."
