Elderly Southern Nanny is a character in Season Five of the Showtime series DEXTER.
She applies for the position of nanny for Harrison Morgan.
Summary[]
Dexter is still off duty recovering from the murder of his wife. He is a single parent now, and Debra helps him search for a nanny for 10-month-old Harrison. Dexter, holding his son, sits near Deb and silently watches her interview the third shown applicant.
The scene opens with the nanny stating, “Well, if a child’s choking, I just do what my mama always did. You get ahold of it by the legs and you give it a little knuckle-slap.”
It’s discernible by Dexter and Deb’s faces that they find this nanny unacceptable.
