Cokehead Murders Case

Cokehead Murders Case is a police investigation in Season One of the Showtime series DEXTER.

It concerns the double murder of a coke dealer and a woman at an unnamed hotel.

Rival Dealer - Suspected of committing the crime based on the fact that one of the victims was a coke drug dealer and, when police arrived at the scene, the victim's drugs were gone.

Ex-Boyfriend - Suspected of committing the murders based on Dexter Morgan's observations of how the blood tells the story. Dexter says the dealer was taken out instantly and that the girl was the focus of the killer's wrath. Later confirmed when they found the ex-boyfriend and he confessed.

At an unknown point, the girl broke up with the perpetrator. This sent the ex-boyfriend into a rage and he took his revenge on the girl.

Sergeant James Doakes - Ran point on the investigation and initially suspected that the killer was a rival dealer.
Lieutenant Maria LaGuerta - In charge of the personnel on the case and played the part of peacemaker for James and Dexter when they had conflicting theories.

Forensics Blood Spatter Analyst Dexter Morgan - Worked on the crime scene since there was a lot of blood. He determined from the blood patterns that the killer was likely the girl's ex-boyfriend and she was the real target.

Murdered drug dealer - He specialized in dealing coke, and was the first one to be killed with a stab to the carotid artery, dying instantly.

Unnamed female - She was originally thought to be collateral damage in an attempt to obtain the dealer's drugs. However, the blood spatter proved that she was the real target based on the way the killer took his time with her.

The case is officially closed because the killer was caught and arrested.

The ex-boyfriend was arrested and presumably sent to prison for the murders.

The Cokehead Murders Case was adapted from the series as one of the missions in Dexter: The Game. (Other adaptations include Dexter's escapades with Mike Donovan and Jamie Jaworski, as well as the Ice Truck Killer Case).
