George F. "Chip" Johannessen is an American writer, editor, and producer of several popular television series.
For the fifth season of Showtime's DEXTER, he produced all twelve episodes and wrote two of the episodes.

Johannessen replaced Clyde Phillips as executive producer and showrunner for the fifth season of DEXTER. He was joined on the series by 24 collaborator Manny Coto. After the fifth season, Johannessen left the crew and was replaced as showrunner by executive producer Scott Buck.
