Caldwell Truck Stop & Diner is owned by Kurt Caldwell, the rich owner of a chain of truck stops. It is a place in Dexter: New Blood.
Location[]
Two miles outside of the small town of Iron Lake, New York
The diner is just south of the gas station.
Summary[]
After dark, a semi-truck stops at the Caldwell Truck Stop, a diner visible in the background. The driver says in a deep voice, "Iron Lake is two miles that way, my man." The passenger door opens and a hooded figure steps down, closes the truck door and walks away, carrying a knapsack. The truck slowly pulls away. The hitchhiker is later shown to be Harrison.
Susan, a waitress, knocks on the door of Kurt Caldwell's office in his diner. She informs him that customers are mentioning a green-haired girl hanging out there. When she offers to take care of it, he says that he will do it.
Outside, Dexter gasses up at the filling station and sees Kurt Caldwell inside the diner talking to a girl with green hair.

Harrison is walking through town, having decided to leave for good, when Kurt pulls up in his truck. He convinces Harrison to have a last meal at the diner for free. Harrison asks what happened to his face and Kurt claims he was hurt in a hunting accident. In reality, he was injured by Chloe.
As Harrison is eating, Kurt has a fatherly talk with him and learns that Harrison has no money or real plan. Kurt gives advice about dealing with rage. Kurt asks Susan for an application and offers Harrison a job at the diner. When Harrison asks why he's being so nice, Kurt says he sees potential in him.
Kurt pulls into the parking lot at the diner and sees a girl asking for some money. He gives her some money and she introduces herself as Winnie. He offers her a ride somewhere and she agrees but then sees her boyfriend and he tells her that he found a ride to Indianapolis. Harrison walks up with his job application and tells him that his father isn’t okay with it but that he doesn’t care. Kurt forges Jim Lindsay’s signature and welcomes him to the team.
While Kurt is outside the diner interacting with Winnie and then Harrison, Susan is inside waiting on customers.
Dexter goes to the truck stop to grab a coffee and keep an eye on Harrison at his first shift at the truck stop. Harrison confronts him about being there.
Kurt brings Dexter a slice of cake and sits down to chat. Dexter asks if Molly ever got that interview with Matt. Kurt tells Jim (Dexter) that he believes there was a time they would be great friends. Angela Bishop and Sergeant Logan walk in and arrest Kurt for the murder of Iris.
Although Kurt Caldwell was arrested after Iris's body was found in Clarke Caves, the DNA results don't conclusively tie him to her murder. Outside the diner, Dexter overhears Susan inform a clerk that Kurt has been released. The clerk replies, "Holy shit. That's great!" Susan admits that she was scared. The clerk, though, says he knew it couldn't be true. Dexter thinks, Yep. I'm gonna have to kill him [Kurt].
After Harrison washes Elric Kane's truck, Elric pays him $20 to help him move some cargo. Afterward, Elric gives Harrison a blank envelope to give to his dad. He gives it to Dexter who finds a titanium surgical screw inside.
Later, Dexter searches Kurt’s office at the diner for the second screw but instead finds a check for $5,000 to someone called Elric Kane.
At the end of the episode, Elric sneaks up behind Dexter and attacks him. He then kidnaps him.
