Atlantic Sun is an object and a location in Showtime’s series DEXTER.

It is a cruise where Dexter Morgan kills Ethan Turner.

Season Three[]

“Turning Biminese”

Miguel Prado tells Dexter about Ethan Turner, a man who killed two wives for their money. After verifying this, Dexter stalks Ethan to a sporting goods store where he is buying diving equipment. Dexter, who is pretending to check out golf clubs, strikes up a conversation with him. He asks Ethan if he knows of any good diving schools in the area. Ethan recommends Bimini, which is a stop on his Caribbean cruise.

Dexter takes his own boat to Bimini. He lounges on the beach, while thinking about Harry’s unfaithfulness. The cruise ship is seen on the horizon, docked offshore. Nearby, Ethan flirts with a girl in a bikini. When the cruise director announces that the water taxi to the ship is leaving, Dexter boards the shuttle to the Atlantic Sun.

Once on board, Dexter creeps up on Ethan after he gets out of the shower and knocks him out with M99. Due to the ship's schedule, he has to rush through his usual ritual. He plays loud music from an iPod and stuffs Ethan's mouth to keep him quiet. Not having time to savor the moment, he quickly kills Ethan, dismembers him, and dumps his remains out of a porthole. Dexter returns to Bimini on the last sea taxi and takes his boat back to Miami. Like his second wife, Ethan is declared missing when he is not found on the ship.
