Alan (Iron Lake) is a character in the Showtime special event series Dexter: New Blood.
He is Esther's husband and a paramedic.
Summary[]
Locals have gathered for line-dancing at Iron Lake Tavern. Angela and Dexter (as Jim) are watching a rowdy Matt Caldwell drinking heavily with his friends at a nearby table. Earlier, Matt had tried to buy a rifle but he was flagged.
Angela remarks, "You know the messed-up part? FBI gets backed up and half the flags clear automatically. People fall through the cracks all the time.” To avoid talking about Matt, Dexter says, “You're off the clock. Let's not talk about work. Let's dance. Can't let Esther and Alan show us up.' They join the other dancers.
Dexter is alerted of a school lockdown in which Harrison is involved and he speeds to the school. As he arrives at the scene, Ethan Williams is being rolled out on a stretcher with a bandaged leg.
Officer Teddy Reed rushes Dexter to Harrison, who is being treated for a stab wound. Harrison assures Dexter that it's not that bad and Alan confirms that it isn't very deep. Harrison says Ethan stabbed him because he wouldn't go along with a school shooting.
