Alan is a character in Season Six of the Showtime series DEXTER.
He’s the first person to greet Dexter Morgan at his high school class reunion.
Summary[]
Dexter returns to his 20th high school reunion for a specific purpose. He plans to prove that an old classmate, Joe Walker, murdered his wife.
Once inside the large tent set up for the festivities, Dexter picks up his name tag and pins it to his jacket. To his surprise, a man suddenly and enthusiastically greets him.
Alan: “Dexter!”
Dexter: [looks at man’s name tag] “Alan.”
Alan: “Best biology lab partners ever, right, dude?”
Dexter: Oh, you bet...dude.”
Alan: “Man, I never saw anyone dissect a fetal pig as fast as you. You're, like, the first student ever to ask for seconds.”
Dexter: “That was a great learning experience.”
Alan: “Obviously.” [Chuckles] “Now you're some hotshot blood spatter guy. It's awesome!”
Dexter: “Thanks.”
Alan: “Hey, we should check out all these activities they've got planned for us.”
Dexter: [walking away] “Yeah, you go on ahead.”
I'm only here for one activity, Dexter thought as he spots Joe Walker. And there he is.
Later, Alan tells Dexter that blood spatter analysts are the "modern American cowboys."
