Starting from the beginning of Season 3, after a long break when I was sidetracked with other stuff.
So, first episode in already. It got slow at times but still interesting, where Dexter kills Miguel's brother Oscar while trying to kill Freebo. Angel is sergeant, and someone from Internal Affairs is investigating Quinn.
Edit: Saw Episode 2. Dexter killed Freebo, Miguel is satisfied that Dexter avenged his brother (or so he thinks), and we still don't know what Quinn possibly did. Also Rita's pregnant, forgot that from last time.
Has anyone noticed that C.S.Lee's name is the only name in the opening credits flashes?
I have looked high and low on the web and can't find out why, so was wondering if anyone knew.
Thanks in advance.
I think I found some original Dexter props including the head that was thrown out in season 1. Am I being duped? This was long before the recent news of the series returning.

A ten-episode limited series was announced yesterday. It will go into production in spring 2021 and it will premiere in fall 2021.
Hi everyone! As your Wiki Manager, I wanted to make sure I shared important information about an upcoming change happening across Fandom that will affect all its communities, this one included. Fandom is currently working on migrating its wikis to a new Unified Community Platform (UCP for short). You can read more about this in this blog.
If you still have questions about what exactly this all means even after checking the blog, don't hesitate to ask, and I'll be happy to either supply you with an answer or find one for you in case it's something I don't know myself. (You may also want to check the Help:UCP page.)
Wiki migrations had been on hold for some time for the engineering team to be able to fix some issues regarding the editor and admin experience on UCP, but they have now started again with a few improvements. You can see the banner notification on this wiki already, which means it will happen very soon in this community.
After the migration, you can also use this post to leave any and all feedback you may have about UCP as well, so I can relay it back to Fandom. Or, if something happens to get broken during the migration, I’ll be here to help you fix it. I hope we can work together to make the transition go as smoothly as possible!
I recently started watching Dexter. It was an interesting new concept, with the main character being a serial killer who goes after other killers.
However, Season 1 seemed pretty slow-paced to me and I've been finding it kinda boring.
But I've been told Seasons 2 and 3 pick up, and that 4 is awesome. That's the one I'm particularly looking forward to and motivated me to not give up on it yet, coz I know the main villain is played by John Lithgow and he was listed twice on WatchMojo top satisfying TV deaths (I don't mind the spoilers here, I saw that before I started watching this).
Is it true Seasons 2, 3, and especially 4 are more interesting? And what about Seasons 5-8? How are they?
(Once Upon A Time had a not-so-fun first season and much more fun Seasons 2 and above, maybe this is kinda the same?)
Despite all the casual continuity errors and subtle stretches of reality through the Series, has anyone else ever notices that Miguel Prado wears a distinctive gold pin on his left lapel throughout season 3. This has always annoyed me since I recognized it immediately as a WW2 Era "Ruptured Duck" (Officially: Honerable Service Lapel Button). This pin was used during the war and a short time thereafter to signify an Honerable Discharge. The Department of Defense awarded the pin between September 1939 and December 1946. The award served several purposes. It served as proof that the wearer was an honorably discharged veteran returning from duty. Unofficially, it was also used as an identifier to railroad, bus, and other transportation companies who offered free or subsidized transportation to returning veterans. Prado's father is said to have served in Vietnam, years after the discontinuation of this particular pin's use. There is no logical reason for him to be wearing it.
I've never heard anyone else mention it in any forum related to the show, but an eagle eyed observer (who is also a WW2 history buff) will notice this glaring error instantly.
OK, this is going to be a strange one, but I belive this is the correct place to ask...
I'm a recent amputee, left leg below the knee, and like to laugh at what life has thrown at me.
I create t-shirts to break the ice about talking about my metal leg and the only one I have so far is Bender from Futuerama saying "bite my shiny metal LEG".
I was re-watching the whole season of Dexter and thougt a t-shirt depecting the Ice Truck Killer and his need to cut of limbs.
Can you help me design a t-shirt or just some ideas?
I survived "The Ice Truck Killer". Picture of ice truck and Brian holding a bloddy bone saw...
I'm never staying im Miami again... insert picture..
Have fun and get creative.
...S5 E01 was a real tear-jerker. It showed Dexter's more human side, the side he's hidden from everyone including himself. The tragedy that occurred at the end of season 4 was sad, sure, but even sadder is Dex's response to the tragedy. In the next episode, he mentions stages of grief, and I think that fits the story to a T. He's driven mad by his emotions, something he previously thought he didn't have. When cracks in his stoic mannerisms appear, that's the Dexter I can sympathize with.
Hello everyone!
I have another update to share - this time, Fandom's latest staff blog regarding the Featured Video area.
They are going to be making some experiments in order to find out what is best for that area, one of which is The Loop, a mini-show produced by Fandom that talks about content based on the vertical that the topic is about (for this wiki, it would be related with TV and movies). For more information, you may visit the blog post about it.
(If you are a newcomer to Fandom wikis and don't know exactly what I'm talking about - Featured Video is a video that appears above the content area of articles. Earlier this year, some changes happened so that logged-in users don't see these videos by default, but unidentified users can still see them when visiting wikis.)
And if you have any questions about this at all... feel free to ask them!
Hello Dexter Wiki users!
I have been going around informing wikis about Fandom's newest blog about the Global Taxonomy project. To put it simply: the "related pages" between different wikis should start becoming more connected based on the relationship between their content.
So for example, for Dexter, if there are articles in common with another wiki, then these would be better connected in terms of sections of recommended pages to visit. This should be exciting - we will be able to start seeing some of this early next year.
For more information, feel free to check the blog post at Community Central.
See you around!

Ok, something weird. Dexter's mother, Laura Moser, died on or before Oct. 3, 1971. That is the publication date for the story in the paper of record, so I suspect she died around Sept. 30 or Oct. 1. Dexter is said to be three years old which is 1,095 days minimum. Dexter's birthday appears in the wiki as Feb. 1, 1971. From Monday, Feb. 1, 1971 to Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1973 is only 976 days. That is 119 days short, or 3.96 months short of being three years old. That means Dexter had to be born before Oct. 4, 1970 and Brian could not have been born before Thursday, October 3, 1968 in order to be near 5 but still possibly 4. But the wiki shows Brian's birthday as being Wednesday, July 17, 1968, or 78 days before he could have been born. Does anyone have better hard data?
Hi! I'm currently writing a paper for uni and I really want to include some episodes of Dexter. Unfortunately it's been some time since I've watched the show, but I clearly remember seeing these scenes in a few episodes. Could you help me find episodes in which there is a flashback of a killer's mother (not Dexter's though), where she is being abusive, a drug addict, a prostitute, or just generally a bad mom? I would be eternally grateful! Thanks!
Did Miguel have a relationship with Ellen? When he went to her house, she didn't seem shocked that he was there (and they were screaming at one another earlier too). I thought this was odd because next thing you know, she was dead... Was this supposed to be hashed out?
I just binged all 8 Seasons in 6 weeks. I took over 3300 screen shots. I have no idea why, but it's a habit. I have all of the ID shots (around 36) and it was interesting to note that many actors used their actual date of birth for the character! Dexter was one of them, Also Deb, Travis Marshall, Manuel Prado, Dr. Vogel, Oliver Saxon and others. You may already know this, but I wanted to let you know as I am new here.
I added a photo for Julio Benes with his DOB visible, as it wasn't included in the info here. Also, I am good at proofreading. :)
During the title sequence, Dexter cuts up some Fried Eggs and splats some red-coloured sauce over the eggs. The colour and texture is wrong for tomato ketchup. Any ideas what that sauce is?
Hi, I have an active adoption request for this wiki and I need your input. I'm not planning any major changes, I mostly want to clean up some of the naming issues and eliminate the many redirects and double redirects. If you have any comments or suggestions, let me know.
Happy editing!
